Re-Branding and Trademarks
Imagine spending years building a brand, only to have someone come and steal your ideas, business name, branding, and business model. That would stink, right? Right. I mention this because it’s happening to me right now. Unfortunately a couple in Canada took advantage of the situation and although I’ve attempted to reach out to them twice now, they don’t seem to care. I’ve learned that I can’t believe that others will ever be as honest or have as much integrity. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but reality is, there are going to be people who will have no problem stealing someone else’s hard work.
As I’ve worked really hard to connect with others across different platforms, I’ve found many people taking advantage of the situation and going as far as taking my social media handles. It’s absolutely frustrating, and because I’m at the point where I want to continue to grow, I need to be more serious about trademarking. I will be announcing to my Twitter followers that I will be re-branding while I’m still in the 5k range. If I wait too long, it will become too difficult to re-brand. Once I have my trademark application in, I will be fully committed to “Eye Love Gains” because it embodies all that I am as a person.
If you’re serious about building your brand, I highly recommend you look into trademarking your brand. If you believe you’ll be conducting business in other countries, I also recommend registering for an International Trademark. I’ll go into further details about trademarks at a later time. For now, I’m just updating my readers to let them know I’ll be fully transitioning into my “Eye Love Gains” brand. Thank you for following my journey. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my re-branding process.
Have a great night.
